Some wheel manufacturers make their wheels with two valve stems!
Their are a few reasons for this:
-
Nitrogen Exchange (Fill nitrogen while exhaling air)
-
One for TPMS, the other for filling air
- One for checking air pressure while the other for filling air during road course racing or autocross
- Etc.
A dual valve stem wheel is equally safe as a single valve stem wheel. We suggest either installing a normal valve stem in the second hole or a flush mount valve stem if you do not plan on using the extra hole.
